Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Rememver is a video time capsule service operated by LP Ventas en Línea S.A., cédula jurídica 3-101-746802, a company registered in Costa Rica and trading as Bamboo Tech Studio. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means that company. When it says "your content", it means the videos, letters, and files you upload.

2. What we collect

We collect four categories of information, and nothing beyond them:

• Account information. Your name, email address, and a hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
• Your content. The videos you record or upload, any written letters, and any files you attach to a capsule.
• People you name. The name and email address of each recipient and trustee you add. We only use these to contact them about the capsule you assigned them to.
• Payment information. Handled entirely by Stripe. We receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store full card numbers.

We also collect basic technical data through our analytics tools: pages viewed, approximate location by country, device type, and referring site. This is used to understand how people find and use Rememver, not to build a profile of you.

3. Where your content is stored

Your videos and attachments are stored in private Backblaze B2 cloud storage buckets, which are not publicly listable or browsable. Data is transmitted over SSL/TLS. When a recipient is entitled to view a capsule, we generate a short-lived signed URL for that single file, and only after the delivery conditions you set have been met. Account and capsule metadata is held in our application database on servers we control in Europe.

4. Who can access your content

• You, at any time, from your dashboard.
• The recipient you named, but only after the capsule has been delivered and only using the claim code sent to them.
• Trustees cannot view your content. A trustee's only power is to confirm that an event has occurred. They never see the video, the letter, or the attachments.
• Our staff. We do not routinely access user content and there is no internal browsing tool for it. Access happens only when you ask us for technical help with a specific capsule, or where we are legally compelled by a valid order. We log administrative actions.

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use your content to train machine learning models.

5. Companies that process data for us

We keep this list short on purpose, and we keep it current:

• Stripe for payment processing.
• Backblaze B2 for storage of videos and attachments.
• Mailgun for transactional email such as claim notifications and check-in reminders.
• Google Analytics and Meta for website traffic measurement on our public pages.
• ChatWise for the support chat widget on our public pages.

6. How long we keep things

• While your account is open, your capsules are retained so they can be delivered as instructed. That is the entire point of the service.
• A capsule you delete is removed from storage within 30 days.
• If you close your account, all associated data is deleted within 90 days.
• A capsule that has already been delivered stays available to the recipient until they delete it.

7. Your rights

You can download your original files at any time from your dashboard. You can correct your account details, delete any undelivered capsule, or close your account outright. If you want a copy of everything we hold about you, or want it erased, email us at privacy@rememver.life and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, which the service cannot function without. Our analytics providers set their own cookies on our public marketing pages to measure traffic. You can block these in your browser without losing any Rememver functionality.

9. Children

Rememver is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. A capsule may of course be addressed to a child, but the account holder must be an adult.

10. If Rememver ever shuts down

This is a fair question to ask a company you are trusting with a message for your children. If we ever cease operations, we will give account holders advance written notice and a window to download all of their content, and we will attempt to deliver or release pending capsules to their named recipients before storage is closed. We are deliberately built on one-time payments rather than venture funding so that the service does not depend on continuous growth to survive.

11. Not legal advice

Rememver is not a law firm, is not a will, and is not a substitute for one. A capsule carries a personal message, not a legally binding instruction. It cannot transfer property or assets. Speak to a lawyer or notary for anything to do with wills, estates, or inheritance.

12. Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. Questions about anything on this page go to privacy@rememver.life, and general support goes to support@rememver.life.
